WAYNESBURG – An emergency food drive held Sept. 23 to help the Corner Cupboard Food Bank restock empty shelves has taken on a life of its own. The inspirational stories of giving that have come out of the drive are those that, even if only for a moment, restore one’s faith in humanity.

Alpha/Omega Communications staff joined in the groundbreaking for a First Responders Memorial at Washington Cemetery in Washington, Pennsylvania. A/O is working with the cemetery to help establish a marketing campaign to raise funding for the project.

Nearly $200,000.00 and over 11,000 pounds of food were collected during a recent Emergency Food Drive for the Corner Cupboard Food Bank in Greene County, Pennsylvania. The drive was sponsored by Alpha/Omega Communications (A/O) and local radio station WANB. A/O and WANB organized the emergency event in just four days - shortly after the local media reported that the food bank's warehouse was empty and its operating funds were nearly depleted.
